1）A public house what was recently bought by Mr.Ian Thompson is up for sale.

2）Mr.Thompson is going to sell it because it is haunting.

3）He told me that he could not go to sleep one night because he heard a strange noise come from the bar. 

4）The next morning, he found that the doors had been blocked by chairs and the furniture had been moved. 

5）Though Mr.Thompson have turned the lights off before he went to bed, 

6）they were on in the morning. 

7）He also said that he had found five empty whisky bottles which the ghost must have drunk the night before. 

8）When I suggested that some villagers must have come in for a free drink, 

9）Mr.Thompson shook his head.

10）The villagers have told him that they will not accept the pub even he gives it away.

1）A public house what was recently bought by Mr.Ian Thompson is up for sale.(×)
What→which 或者that。没有疑问的意思,不用what引导。Which（that） was recently bought by Mr.Ian Thompson是修饰house的从句。句子主干是A public house is up for sale。 Be up for sale：开始出售
2）Mr.Thompson is going to sell it because it is haunting. (×)
Haunting→haunted. Haunted 是“闹鬼的”的意思。Haunting是萦绕心头，难以忘怀的意思。
3）He told me that he could not go to sleep one night because he heard a strange noise come from the bar. (×)
Come→coming. 强调动作正在发生的状态。
5）Though Mr.Thompson have turned the lights off before he went to bed, (×)
Have→had。 他上床睡觉已经是过去时态了，之前发生的动作（关灯）用过去完成时态。
10）The villagers have told him that they will not accept the pub even he gives it away. (×)
Even→even if. Even if 是即便的意思，引导后面的句子。即便他白给，村民们也不要。 Even不能引导从句。

1、what不能引导定语从句，这里定语从句缺主语，用which或that。2、后面有提到ghost，所以这里区分haunting和haunted的区别，haunted才有闹鬼的意思。3，hear a strange noise coming from the bar，从酒吧里传来的噪音，动名词作定语修辞noise，也可理解为动作正在进行。5.had turned the lights off在他去睡觉前就关灯了，用过去完成时。10.用even全句意思解释不通，根据全文意思，这边应该是说，即使他送给人，也没人要，所以应该是even if或even though。回答一：动词过去分词一般是形容词.

动词的过去分词还有形容词的意思，if用于even even if即使

为什么第六题是对的呀，were on in是不能同时用两个介词，were后面要接动词呀

    @罗来忠 这个涉及到意群划分的问题，分they were on 和in the morning两部分，在早上灯亮着。

动词的过去分词还有形容词性;even后面的if不能去掉，因为even是“甚至”的意思，而even if 是“即使”的意思，后面接从句。

1.what改成that或者which，这里是that引导是house的定语从句；2.haunting改成haunted是闹鬼的意思，这个是查了才知道，haunting是不易忘怀的，意思不对；3.come改成coming，这里是noise这个宾语的宾语补足语；5.have改成had，这里前后时态不一致；10.even改成even if，这里even if引导的是假设性的。求助一：动词的过去分词可以做形容词；求助二：even和even if不一样的，even没有连词的性质，不能引导两个句子，而even if是连词，可以连接两个句子。

动词过去分词一般是形容词性;even if 是连词可连接俩句子even if有即使的意思,even是甚至的意思,even没有连词性质不能引导俩句子
